Schools Across California Face Uncertainty as Layoffs Loom

More than 2,400 preliminary layoff notices have been issued to positions represented by the California Teachers Association as of April 10, and more than 3,300 to positions represented by the California School Employees Association as of March 17. Layoff decisions will be finalized by May 15.
